Vivísimo seeks a senior Computer Scientist/developer to architect, design algorithms for, and implement in C new capabilities in our core search products. These core search products are deployed at Clusty.com, USA.gov and at well over 100 customer sites, so new technologies have immediate user impact. We seek this background:

• C/C++ programming
• XML technologies: XPath, XSL, Schemas, SOAP etc.
• Unix and Windows
• Programming of distributed systems
• MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent

Other pluses:

• Experience with search engines, text mining or information visualization, information extraction, XML databases, etc.
• Loves information retrieval and the web
